Chetco Photographer's Association
Club Purpose: To aid in improving both the taking of and displaying member's photographic images.
Who we are: We are a group of photographers with a wide degree of experience (beginners through professional).
What we do: We regularly meet to learn from each other by showing recently taken photos from each participant. Through this method we gain insight from the other attendees as to what they like about each photo. Then, if they would have taken it differently (based on the shown image and the assigned “Challenge Topic”), what they would have tried to do. We also have at least one Educational Demonstration each meeting. These demos are either a pre-recorded video or a live demo from one of our members or an outside business or professional that has expertise in one or more facets of photography.
Meeting Times and Place: There are four opportunities a month to participate. Individual members can participant in one, two, three, or all of the meetings. There are even provisions for members who can not attend. They can participate in the Photo Challenges and have their photos displayed on this web site. The day-time meetings are scheduled for the first and third Fridays of each month from 10AM to Noon. The evening-time meetings are scheduled for the second and fourth Wednesdays from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. All meetings are held at the Manley Art Center, 433 Oak Street, Brookings OR.
Attendees: Any person may attend as often as they wish.
