We are searching for visual artists (can include sculpture) for the upcoming Kamome Festival in April. The event committee loves the idea of incorporating art around themes that tie in with the festival - such as friendship, the ocean, boats, fishing, and of course Kamome (Japanese for seagulls). We know this is a short timeframe, so we are keeping the theme broad on purpose, and it is ok to submit artwork that has not been created specifically for this event. There is no entry fee, but we will be screening the works before accepting them.
If you aren’t familiar with Kamome and its significance to our community, please scan the QR code on the flyer, and it will take you to the Chamber’s webpage on the topic.
If you would like to participate, please forward photos of your work to [email protected], with information on how large each piece is.
