Sergio's wife Jackie related that she had a crush on Sergio in high school, but they went separate ways. After Sergio's career in the jewelry business, first on Rodeo Drive and later in Florida, Sergio and Jackie met again on Facebook and have now been happily together for more than a decade. They have been Brookings' residents since 2018.
Art Walk founder Horst Wolf takes a close look at the artwork of Sergio Baril at Manley Art Center. Sergio's paintings are a riot of imaginative free form images, bright colors and found objects from his large collection of fossils, rocks, driftwood, shells and other items he finds while hiking.

Winners of this summer's Art at the Port Exhibition are on display at Manley Art Center during the month of October.
Art at the Port is co-sponsored by The Port of Brookings Harbor (providing the venue) and Pelican Bay Arts Association (curator for the show) and is supported by Curry County Cultural Coalition and Oregon Cultural Trust. Local organizations who provide awards include Fred Meyer, Curry Equipment Co., Oregon South Coast Fishermen, Manley Art Center and the Brookings Harbor Port Commissioners.
