Katie Smith at Semi Aquatic Gallery talked about Spencer Reynolds latest painting in progress. He is glazing clear layers between layers of color to create a 3-D effect.
Pete Chasar, at Brian Scott and Signatures Galleries, is going in the opposite direction from Spencer Reynolds with his latest work and is celebrating a very flat style of painting - no nuances or shading, just flat lines and shapes in solid colors.
Pete Chasar is the Featured Artist at Brian Scott & Signatures Galleries this month. In addition to his paintings, he is also showing a wheelbarrow load of his geometric creations.
Literally - a wheelbarrow load of art. Pete also created the wheelbarrow which can be made from 2/3 of a sheet of plywood and is a functional cart. If you have wheelbarrow envy, just ask Pete for a copy of the plans which he has already prepared.
