Workshop: Painting from Sketches by Erik Sandgren at Manley Art Center February 22, 23 & 24

This workshop will teach you to develop complete landscape paintings from field notes and how to make sketches in the field that contain the important information you need to make a painting. This will be an indoor/outdoor workshop including sketching, demonstration, conversation and shared review of work. We will look at examples and discuss the gesture of the landscape and how to take color notes.
For serious painters of all levels working in any media.
No special equipment required.
Demonstrations will be in both watercolor and acrylic.
Bring your own materials.
Easels provided.

Handknitting for beginners
Taught by Patty Nancy.
Learn to cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, binding off and how to read a pattern. Yarn provided. Bring a pair of straight needles, size 7, 8 or 9.
Instructor recommends wood needles. Also, notebook, pencil and scissors.
