
Who knew it was possible to fit the Holiday Artisan Market (28 vendors), a holiday Food Drive, and an art show of work by students of Sara Broderick at College of the Redwoods - all comfortably inside of Wright's! The Artisan Holiday Market opened at 11 am and was open through the Art Walk. It opens again Sunday morning at 11 am and was organized by Len and Violet Burton (above).

Connie Lundquist (in red) had a beautiful display of her custom jewelry, behind her is a booth with leather goods, and that's local oil painter Frank Gustafson in the back.

The Tsunami Swing Band enlivened the library during Art Walk. You can see an exhibit of Len Burton's oil paintings at the Library this month.

Nancy Ehorn's fused glass art and jewelry was featured at A Wild Bird and Backyard General Store during the Art Walk. You'll find more of her work at the store this month.

John Gehl (Artist of the Month at Manley Art Center). John modestly calls himself a "Blacksmith who takes snapshots". Come enjoy the rest of his work at Manley this month and you'll see that his work goes well beyond a "snapshot".

Mary Gehl selling raffle tickets for the annual Basket of Cheer, a fundraiser for Manley Art Center. The drawing will be December 20, so there is still time to stop by Manley and get your tickets.

Brian Scott Gallery presented "What About Christina - Harnessing the creative beast" - an entertaining and informative talk by Christina Olsen about her lifelong career as an artist - complete with a flip chart of drawings to illustrate her journey.

Giraffes on a Raft (Shirley Hyatt and John Boye) provided wonderful musical entertainment during the festivities at Brian Scott Gallery.
The Brookings Second Saturday Art Walk will be suspended for the winter this year, and will resume in April. Some venues plan to be open from 4 to 7 on the Second Saturday of each month as usual - Horst Wolf has promised that Brian Scott Gallery will be open with music and refreshments in Jan/Feb/Mar. More later on what will occur on the Second Saturday of January.
