Valley Art League is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the visual arts in the northern California region. Your entry fees cover prize money and show expenses. Any remaining monies will help fund the operating expenses of the NVAL Carter House Gallery.

Dale Wells and Audi Stanton at Manley Art Center selling tickets for the Art Studio Tour which happens this coming weekend in Brookings! The tour is this Saturday, September 21, and you can still get tickets at Manley Art Center and Wright's. Your ticket, called "Studio Tour Pass" is good for the tour which inlcudes ten artists at five locations on Saturday, plus entry to the Black Tie and Tennis Shoe Reception at Manley Art Center on Friday evening, September 20. This event is a fund raiser for Manley Art Center and an opportunity for you to support both Manley Art Center and the artists.
Manley Art Center and Gallery is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday from 11 to 4. Closed Mondays.

Lon Goddard performed some great music that you've probably never heard from him before. His musical partner, Aura Wright, was out of town and Lon had to come up with new selections that he could do solo at Dewey's Digs.

Michaeline McDonald showed her wildlife and fantasy art and was working on a new mermaid painting at A Wild Bird and Backyard General Store.
Michaeline uses acrylics in a style that looks like oil. The orange color is to tone the canvas and will be almost entirely covered with other colors.

Rob Decker again drew a crowd for his free drawing lessons at Wright's Custom Framing and Art Supplies.
The galleries at Wright's boast an impressive roster of artists.
Wright's galleries in Brookings are open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5:30 and Saturday from 10 to 3.

Audi Stanton has a new display of oil paintings on the mezzanine at Brian Scott Gallery. The Gallery is located at 515 Chetco Avenue and currently includes the work of 18 local and regional artists.
