September 8 and 9 from 10am - 4pm each day.
Tickets are $12.00, available at the Grants Pass Museum and Chet’s Garden Center.
Artists specializing in different media will be represented from wood to stained glass, jewelry, sculpture, painting, watercolor and oils. If you are an art collector, this will be a perfect time to invest in art at affordable prices with gifts for family and friends or for yourself. Besides eight studios and eleven artists on the tour, The Bear Hotel will give you the opportunity to visit current artists working in their individual studio spaces.
Artists: Bob Worley, Michelle Yarbrough, Julie Bickle, Dan Collins, Rose SaenzArts Marlynn McNuff, Stephan Seable, Margaret Valvo, Clyde Kirkpatrick, Cheri Van Syoc and the Bear Hotel Artists.
The studio selection is made by the Tour Committee which looks for all kinds of studios from the in-home room studio to the large detached studio, to the commercial kind. Some of the criteria for choosing studios are the locations, the medium and the variety of art forms. The tour follows a pattern each year of studios located North of town, in town and south of the river. The committee tries to balance the media represented so there is always a variety of work offered each year. Tickets for on sale in July, so plan ahead for an inspiring weekend.
The Grants Museum of Art offers the Artists' Studio Tour each year to help promote artists and art in our community. The Museum does not take a percentage of the art sales, but sponsors the tour solely to give the artists exposure for future sales and commission work.
