Marge Heilman, a mixed media artist from northern California says, "Art has been important to me since childhood. Living in Northern California provides wonderful artistic opportunities. Working in several medias allows a style that has been described by viewers and clients as vivid, colorful and somewhat impressionistic."

Marge Heilman Biography:
My mediums are mostly oil and watercolor with a feel for "friendly light and energetic color." Discipline to beauty of line and form are key elements in my artwork. My paintings are motivated by enthusiasm and passion for my subject.
I enjoy teaching, plein-air painting and an active role in the pursuit of excellence as an artist. Art and history ignite my passion for landscape and still life ... the stories there, appreciation for what came before, the signs left for me to explore. Ways of life change, tools disappear and buildings fall to the elements ... I hope to capture some of their beauty before they disappear.
I hold signature and associate memberships in the Society of Western Artists, Alliance of California Artists, Plein-Air Painters of the North State,Oil Painters of America and the California Watercolor Society. My work has been included in major exhibits such as:
- Sacramento Fine Arts International Opus X, Sacramento CA.
- California Watercolor Association Exhibits, San Francisco CA.
- The Oil Painters of America Exhibit, Carmel CA.
- The Society of Western Artists, San Francisco & Fresno CA.
- Madera Art in Agriculture Traveling Exhibits, Madera CA.
- Central California Art League Exhibits, Gallo Winery Headquarters, Modesto CA.
- North Valley Art League National Exhibits, Redding CA.
