Brookings-Harbor Lions Club thanks the community for supporting the "Community Calendar Project Scholarship Fundraiser" that was organized and designed by Joan and Jenna Willis, Lions Design Team.
The first 2011 Community Calendar with the theme of "Brookings-Harbor community and the natural surrounding area from the California-Oregon border to Pistol River" featured 12-months of photographs donated by artists and residents. Throughout the calendar, Brookings-Harbor 2011 community public events were also added. From September 2010 to January 2011, the college scholarship fundraiser sold over 800 calendars at $10 each during local events and at businesses. The proceeds from the Lions scholarship program benefit high school students through Brookings-Harbor Scholarship Foundation (BHSF).
Lions Design Team is already making plans for the next community calendar project and plan to include photography and 2012 events submitted by the public along the Southern Oregon and Northern California "Wild Rivers Coast".
