Charlotte Heatherly signed copies of her book, "Saga of a French Dish" for Patree Brooks and other Art Walk visitors at Words and Pictures. The book retells the life of Josette Marie Massapour Mangin Blodgett whose life was "the embodiment of perseverance and joie de vivre." You can get a copy of the book at Words and Pictures. The Chetco Pelican Players performed a skit from their production of "Thar She Blows" at the Chetco Community Library, where the work of "Wild Rivers Artists" Christina Olsen, Dale Wells, Leslie Wolf and Tom Farmer can be seen all this month. "Thar She Blows" is a melodrama written and directed by Mike Moran. It will be performed on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm and Sunday afternoons at 2 pm at the Chetco Theater at the north end of Brookings through August 22. Photo by Steve Combs
