The Brookings Annual Azalea Festival Art Show will he held this weekend - May 23 and May 24 from 11 am to 5 pm. at the Azalea Middle School. See the work of many local artists and VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE PIECE FOR THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD. There will be art for sale, auctions, raffles, and a door prize.
Art is classified as Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Professional. A judge awards 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention ribbons in each class. Work shown will be in three categories:
1) Original paintings including watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, and drawings;
2) Digital art, digital photography and film photography;
3) Sculpture, china painting, pottery
There is also a section for high school artists and another for younger children. This art will also be judged and ribbons awarded.
