Headwaters Gallery in Ashland, Oregon, welcomes award winning Brookings artist Audi Stanton and her recycled art.
The Art of Recycling exhibit was featured at the 1st Friday Artwalk and Saturday Stroll on September 5 and 6 and will be showing throughout the month of September 2008.
The exhibit focuses on two types of recycled artwork, assemblages and acrylic collage.
"Silverado", an acrylic collage (made of heavy watercolor paper glued onto discarded stretched canvas) is flanked by two Assemblages, "When Knighthood was in Flower" on the left, and "Valley of the Giants" on the right (made of cut picture frames, antique book covers and two and three dimensional objects). Another assemblage is displayed on the easel at the right.
The Gallery's entry display includes Audi's Assemblages and Altered books (another of her specialties).
The Headwaters Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, or by appointment.
