Brookings STUDIO TOUR 2007. A Benefit for Manley Art Center and Gallery

Saturday, June 30 & Sunday, July 1, 2007
10 am to 6 pm  --  Brookings

Twenty artists open their studios for a "glimpse into their world". Members of the local Pelican Bay Arts Association welcome you to their home studios, and five Gold Beach artists will set up their studios at the Southwestern Oregon Community College building in Brookings (420 Alder Street). Refreshments will be available at each venue and some artists will be demonstrating their techniques. Your ticket, a Tour Book and map, may be purchased at Manley Art Center & Gallery for only $10.00. Take your Tour Book along and have it autographed by the artists.

On the evening preceeding the Tour (Friday, June 29, 5 pm to 8 pm) a Black Tie & Tennis Shoe Champagne Reception to meet the artists will be held at Manley Art Center & Gallery. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and music provided by Shirley Hyatt and Company.
Manley Art Center & Gallery is located on Oak Street across from the Abbey Mall in Brookings.

Bisquit Photo Exhibit May 5 to June 30

The Bisquit Gallery at Gold Beach Books is hosting a third annual photography show that runs through June 30. America's Wild Rivers Coast artists whose work is on display include: Jim Coffee, Horst Wolf, Nancy Rommes, J.R. Robinson, Scott Potter, Dennis Brown, Leif Lefebre, Lynda Bare, Michael Potvin, Dutch Dremann, Carol Salin, Suzi Miller, William Ferry, Dave Gordon, Dewey Brady, Mureen Walker, and Vince Amato.

Spring Flower and Art Show in Gold Beach

Sunny spring weather welcomed Curry Arts Association's Spring Arts Show in Gold Beach on May 5th and 6th (which was also the opening weekend of Salmon season in case you were wondering where some of the men were). Local artists displayed watercolors, oils, pastels, photographs, and glass works along side beautiful displays of cut flowers, floral arrangements and bonsi. Curry County Master Gardeners and the local Garden Club held plant sales with a wide range of healthy plants going for unbeatable prices.
