Are you involved with art, music, history, a library, a museum, or an event? The Curry County Cultural Coalition, an arm of the Oregon Cultural Trust, is currently accepting grant applications from qualifying nonprofits or public entities in Curry County that hold cultural events and comply with the Coalition’s mission of increasing public participation in Oregon culture.
Grants of up to $1,000 are available to nonprofit organizations supporting visual, written, or performing arts; history and culture; and humanities.
You may review the grant’s qualifying guidelines and download an application at http://curryccc.org. The deadline for applying is March 31st.
Individuals may apply for a grant for their projects under the auspices of the non-profit 501(c)(3) to which they belong (for example, a member of Pelican Bay Arts Association may apply for a grant for a qualifying project that is endorsed by PBAA).
The Curry County Cultural Coalition is an arm of the Oregon Cultural Trust, created by the Oregon State Legislature in 2001. One third of the money that the Trust grants each year is distributed among 45 county and tribal cultural coalitions. These coalitions receive money based on population. Each group sets its own priorities and grants Trust funds within its own jurisdiction. With a $200 million endowment, the Trust will secure sustainable funding for Oregon culture in perpetuity.
