The third annual ChariTree Festival on Friday, December 7th from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center is an opportunity for the sponsors, Chetco Pharmacy & Gifts, Shop Smart, Pharmacy Express and Ray’s Food Place, to say thank you to those who help make our community so great.
Each participating charity will receive $100 and prizes for Best All-Around-$500, Most Creative-$250 and Santa’s Choice-$150 will be awarded by a panel of judges. The $100 People’s Choice award will be given to the tree that receives the most tickets. Winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremony.
In addition to the funds donated by the sponsors the charitable organizations will be able to showcase their tree decorating skills and raise additional funds at the silent auction.
Festival goers will enjoy an abundance of family activities, including pictures with Santa & Mrs. Claus, live reindeer, fun games & prizes, free cookies & hot cider, plus live music provided by the Coastal Tones, Brookings Chorale and the Brookings-Harbor High School Sea Breeze ensemble.
Stout Mountain Railway will setup inside one of the available retail spaces and for those guests 21 and older the popular Wine Grab will take place while supplies last. Best of all, funds raised during the event directly support the participating charities.
