This year's Curry County Fair, from Thursday, July 29 through Sunday, August 1, will feature local fine artists, fine crafts persons and live performers by turning the Curry Showcase building at the Event Center on the Beach into an Artisan Hall! The Curry Showcase building will feature "Curry's Own" arts and artists in a gallery with performing art on stage, creative art demonstrations and art on all the walls.
Each artist will have a 4'x8' tall, lattice panel to hang on and, if needed, free standing "wire screen walls." Table-tops are available too for artists' own rack, bin or non-hangable art plus several "spinners" are on site for greeting cards, business cards and small books. Artists whose work is hanging on the wall spaces do not have to be present as cashiers will be available to handle their sales for the entirety of the Fair. All this at no charge and only 20% commission on sales until totaling $175 when the commission cuts in half to 10%. Artists are encouraged to provide artistic signage, to distinguish their area of display, as well as business cards and other information.
Booth Spaces are available to those who are willing to keep them attended during the hours that the building is open, 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and until 5 p.m. on Sunday when the fair closes. There is no charge for the booth space and the same commission as above applies. Booth spaces are 10'x10' with parameters that may include a section of the building wall with lattice hung from the moulding, "Rod & Curtain" that is either 8' or 4' high, and one or two 8' tables.
In addition, space will be made available for those artists who wish to demonstrate. Plus, the kitchen area will sell food, and a wine tasting section will bring fair-goers past your display.
