Magic Tapestry Basket Workshop

Participants will learn a resourceful skill to take everyday available materials such as hand gathered native plants, garden cuttings and reclaimed or repurposed materials. Shannon will teach the ancient basket technique of coiling to create their own unique vessel. Please dress for creativity, bring a towel & scissors, pliable and interesting materials for twining or embellishments.
Shannon Weber is a nationally known basketry/mixed media artist who started her work in Agness, Oregon 22 years ago. Her work has been exhibited, awarded and published thoughout the country. Most recently Shannon was a Fall resident artist at the Sitka Center for Art Ecology 09, award of excellence winner at the 7th Annual Around Oregon exhibit and will be featured on Oregon Art Beat later in the year.
