Crescent City is having an Art Walk!
Friday, January 15, 4 pm to 7 pm
Ten Crescent City galleries, studios, organizations and businesses will be part of an Art Walk, planned for the general time frame of 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15 in both the downtown Crescent City and the Crescent City Harbor areas. The public is encouraged to turn out and walk from venue to venue (where possible) at their own leisure, enjoying the local/regional artwork on display. In addition to DNACA's reception (from 5-6 p.m. only) at the Courthouse, sites participating in the art walk are The Daily Triplicate, The Gallery of Arts & Culture, Tomasini's Enoteca, Del Norte County Library, KHSU/KHSR Studio, Mary Dorman-State Farm Insurance, Bay Studios, Crescent Harbor Gallery and Talking Crow Studio. Refreshments will be available at most venues, live music at some.
Downtown Area:
1) DNACA's 18th Annual Juried Multimedia Exhibit @ Courthouse, 450 H St. (5-6 p.m. only)
2) The Daily Triplicate, 312 H St. (4 -7 pm) - photography & oil paintings
3) The Gallery of Arts & Culture and Six Rivers Graphic Design , 175 H St. (4-7 pm) - fine arts, including sculpture, paintings and photography
4) Tomasini's Enoteca, 960 3rd St. (5-7 pm) - black & white photography & jewelry
5) Del Norte County Library, 190 Price Mall (4-7 p.m.) - paintings & collages
6) KHSU/KHSR Studio, 1080 Mason Mall, Suite 10 (4:30 -7 pm) - posters, art & memorabilia from 50 years of radio
7) Mary Dorman, State Farm Insurance, 1270 Front St., Ste B (4-7 pm) - paintings & pastels
Harbor Area:
8) Bay Studios, 1030 Sunset Circle (4-7 pm) - raku/high fire pottery, sculpture, glass mosaics, etchings, watercolors, kelp baskets, wood bowls
9) Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way (4-7 pm) paintings, pastels, photography, jewelry, greeting cards & more
10) Talking Crow Studio, 170 Marine Way (4-7 pm) potters in action, ceramics, photography, jewelry, wood furniture, baskets, washi paper eggs & more
