The February Art Walk fell on Valentine's Day - which took a back seat to celebrating Oregon's sesquicentennial.
At Dewey's Digs, The Limericists unfurled the Oregon state flag after regaling us with rhymes about Oregon - some sentimental, some historical, but mostly bawdy.

First stop on Chetco Avenue - Signatures Gallery. Sandy Bonney was giving a tour of Signatures Gallery - which will be moving to a much larger location on Chetco Avenue very soon.
Signatures is currently hanging "A Potpourri of Artists". All of their artists and photographers are on display, plus Christina Olsen's newest pottery creations.
Destiny Schwartz is holding a 20% off everything sale with 10% donated to the Humane Society. Her studio/gallery was lively.
Clint McKinney's beautiful photography was on the big screens at Diamond Electronics. Clint is also currently showing at Signatures Gallery.
Maggie Coleman at the NEW Studio 101 Art and Jewelry Gallery. The grand opening of Studio 101 will be held on March 7, 2009 - come and enjoy hors d'oeuvres, tea/coffee, chat with the artists and watch demonstrations. The gallery is showing art, jewelry, collectables, and gifts and currently displaying the work of Bruce and Marion Mitchell (multimedia landscape), Gary Vickerman (wooden boats) and Judy Pierce (Indonesian fabric). Maggie has been a jewelry designer for 30 years. She and her husband moved to Brookings from Gold Canyon, AZ. and the lovely and talented Bette Sherbourne worked on a mixed media painting. Bette's work is also on display at the Salty Dog Coffee Bar at the Port.
