Manley Art Center and Gallery featured the art made during the Kids Summer Camp sponsored by Manley and taught by Janeen Vick.
Tisha Bailey and the other young artists acted as Docents for the event and explained to visitors the art principles they were practicing in each work.
Delaney O'Conner with her pitcher painted monochromatically to learn about painting value.
Elizabeth Norman with her whimsical moon.
Outside Manley Art Center a large Ducky announced that tickets for Rotary's upcoming Wild Rivers Ducky Derby on September 21 are available at Manley. Only $5 to adopt a duck and a chance to win some amazing prizes.
Lon Goddard and Aura Wright entertained at Eye for Art where Gold Beach Artist Lorraine Filippone's large floral art fills the gallery with a riot of color.
Outside The Cabaret Scott Graves led a Drum Circle that included Horst Wolf. Inside delicious hors d'oeuvres and music by Marshall Thompson, plus a wonderful selection of Christina Olsen's art.
Just down Artwalk Alley (behind the Pilot) we found Leslie Wolf dancing with a large group that was surrounded by K.A.S.P.E.R. Kids' Kave Artwork. The exquisite art of Chinese Artist Lihua Zhao is still featured at Signatures Gallery - try to see it while a large selection of her work is still hung. Wrights Custom Framing was showing the work of Billie Ruth Furuichi and offering some delicious cookies - if you haven't been to this new business in town, you won't be sorry if you make a point of stopping in to Wrights (next door to the Pilot) to see all the art supplies and ready made frames they offer.
There was much more going on during the Art Walk... the K.A.S.P.E.R. Kids "Shoe Box Zoo" at Stout Mountain Railroad, a reading at Words and Pictures by Pat Bisgrove, the 15th Anniversary Celebration of the "new" Chetco Library and "The Sea Strings" program of classical music, and the Art of Rick Green at Diamond Electronics.
