The GoldRush Art Gallery, located in the newly remodeled GoldRush Building in Gold Beach, will open its doors sometime in mid to late summer. The building, owned and operated by John and Hazel Rush, will house several businesses, including the new Biscuit Photographic Art Gallery. The GoldRush Art Gallery is comprised of the building’s many large common areas with enormous wall space ready for artists’ work. The spaces include the newly constructed Lobby Gallery with its tall ceilings and event wine bar, the River Walk Concourse, and the high-ceilinged Ramp Theater Gallery.
Art placement for the GoldRush Gallery will be coordinated by the Biscuit Art Gallery at Gold Beach Books. Manager Carolyn Trigueiro and Gallery Coordinator Bev Taylor are available to field email inquiries from interested artists and photographers. The opening theme for the GoldRush Gallery is “Things that Fly,” although non-theme art is welcome.
Appropriate art, including photography, will be accepted on consignment. Drop-off dates for prospective consignments will be established later this summer. To be eligible for consideration, all art and photographs must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. There will be limited space available for sculpture and non-traditional art. Large format work is encouraged, but all sizes gladly will be considered.
A pre-completion walk-through for interested artists and photographers is scheduled for Sunday, July 13 at 2 pm. Advance sign-up for the walk-through is necessary by contacting Carolyn or Bev at frontdesk@oregoncoastbooks.com .
The GoldRush Art Gallery is located at Highway 101 and Hillcrest Street, across from Gold Beach Books.
