Hanging at the Chetco Library during June you'll see all the First Place winners of the Azalea Festival Art Show. 
Jo Mochulski took this photo at Chetco Library of Crescent City artist Judy Wolfe and the painting that earned Judy First Place in Advanced Watercolor. It sure looks like a self-portrait of Judy as a young girl.

Christina Olsen at Central Gallery was doing a demo she called "How to Paint on just about anything" -- which is something that Christina is an expert on. Carl and Friends (minus Carl) can be seen playing in the background. Here Christina is working on a large pot and a T-shirt. SWOCC participated in the June Art Walk, showing the art work of past and present students and faculty while Taste of Honey and Billie Ruth entertained. There was also a presentation on "Scrap-booking Digitally" and a Tai Chi Demo.

At Manley Art Center and Gallery, Deborah Dudley was busy selling tickets to the upcoming Art Studio Tour. The tour ticket includes admittance to the Friday Night Black Tie and Tennis Shoe Champagne Reception on Fri, July 11) and both days of the tour of 12 locations/23 artists (Sat, July 12 and Sun. Sculptor, DJ Garrity posed with the work of one of his workshop students at Manley Art Center. This was day two of the workshop, and by the end of the fourth day the students will have completed an alabaster sculpture. DJ is conducting an accredited class at Manley Art Center and the work of the students (who have never sculpted before) is amazing. Can't wait to see the finished pieces!

Also at Manley, and just in time for Father's Day, Curtis Wohlegmuth offered kids of all ages an opportunity to create a custom T-shirt for DAD.
Even the smallest artists got to choose their own colors and create their own T-shirt art.

The "Big Kids" had a pretty good time making those T-shirts too!
Eye for Art is featuring Contemporary art by Dale Hendrix, Signatures Gallery is showing the fabulous photography of Don and Nancy Rommes, Maureen Walker put her aerial "Craggy Coast" photos on the big screens at Diamond Electronics, and Cushman/Tebbs Sotheby's Real Estate was open for viewing the photos of Ole Poulsen and Ron Hodgeon and the oils of Jim McCarten.
