On a balmy, summer-like evening on the second Saturday in April, the art community held celebrations all over Brookings. At Manley Art Center members of the Thursday Night Drawing Group (Charlotte Palmer, Rob Decker and Claudia Mach) demonstrated their talent at portraiture while Rebecca Hanna posed.
Sarah Logan wrote guests' names in calligraphy - you could choose to have your name written in large letters on plain paper or in smaller letters on a 9 x 12 beautiful, original watercolor of a flower.
Rapp Brush and Perry Devine provided musical entertainment in the Gallery.
The refreshments provided by C & K Markets (Ray's Food Place) were outstanding!
Earl Mohr appeared at Words and Pictures as "The Reading Wizard of Od" and Ron Oden of Tahoe Vista, CA showed oils, acrylics, watercolors, and mixed media paintings. As usual, Nina Paulsen was on the keyboard.

Twenty-one of Liz James' works were graciously lent by the various owners who have collected them over the years. Friends shared their memories of Liz.
Autos by Dale Wells. The theme at Central Gallery was "Auto Art". The parking lot was filled with vintage autos, and inside the gallery auto art by Dale Wells, Janeen Vick and Christina Olsen covered the walls.
