The February 8 Second Saturday Art Walk was filled with fun and good times. Two of the stars were Horst Wolf and Audi Stanton.
Horst and Earl Mohr read at Words and Pictures where Horst Wolf's latest collection of "Martian Art" was on display. Later in the back room Horst read some of his "adult" limericks that accompany his "Martians for Adults" works. The entire collection was purchased by Phillip Pfaendler. For those of us who were too late to take home a painting, Words and Pictures is offering a full color book of 22 reproductions of the watercolors and limericks. My copy is already on the coffee table.

At Manley Art Center and Gallery the Artists of the Month were Audi Stanton's Students.
Yes, this is "student" work... and there's more...
Audi must be very proud!
In the Manley Classroom Audi Stanton (on right) gave a watercolor demonstration and members of the audience participated by helping paint portions of a seascape with rocks. Too many artists didn't spoil the soup. Audi can frame this one.

Brenda and Koleen Stafford, two of Audi's students, also demonstrated watercolor painting in the Manley Art Center Classroom.
The Ramblers provided musical entertainment at Manley Art Gallery and many gathered around to listen.
At Central Gallery the Lymericists performed early in the evening and later there was waltzing to the strains of Carl Rovainen and Friends... surrounded by “Cactus Country to Coast” desert and coastal landscapes by Pete Chasar.
Other venues included Signatures Gallery/JTo Prints, Eye for Art, Pieces of Time, Banana Belt Music Co, Diamond Electronics, and Summit Real Estate... for more stories and photos see Horst Wolf's website: http://www.horstwolf.net/
