Randall Tillary lives in Placerville, California, for now. Randall plans to move to Brookings when he retires, which he expects to do in just a few years. In the meantime he continues to work full time as an electrician, and travel to juried plein air competitions as often as possible. He recently participated in a plein air competition in San Luis Obispo, California, where he painted vineyards, Moro Bay, and the hills in the Santa Margarita area. Several of those paintings will be on display at Words and Pictures Gallery in Brookings next month. Randall has become a member of the PBAA and will be the featured artist at Words and Pictures during the month of November. On October 11 Randall displayed his work for PBAA and gave a demonstration of his painting technique. If you missed this demo, Randall will be offering a demo of seascape painting in oil in Crescent City in the near future.
